Blowfly risk is high

Worms: We are seeing plenty of cases of parasitic gastroenteritis - primarily in lambs, but adult sheep and younger cattle may also be affected.
Use worm egg counts and DLWG to guide treatments and consider part-group, targeted treatments (leave thriving individuals untreated).
If dosing cattle at housing:
- adult cattle should not need treating for worms - see below re fluke!
- young cattle often benefit from treatment at housing (white 1-BZ products and clear 3-ML products; delay for 1wk after housing for yellow 2-LV products)

Liver fluke risk remains low.  If you would normally give a winter treatment for Liver Fluke, consider the following (for both sheep and cattle):

- Fluke Treatments have no prolonged action - so timing is important
- Fluke Risk varies from year to year - so treatment may not even be necessary every year
- Testing is cost effective and reliable, and can be done via blood or faeces - speak to your vet to help choose the best test!
