NADIS

Since forming in 1995, NADIS has monitored diseases in cattle, sheep and pigs across the UK, producing monthly reports to enable disease trends to be monitored.

They provide numerous information sheets (listed alphabetically) for various species, including:

Cryptosporidium in calves

The Kilco website includes excellent information regarding how to disinfect sheds between batches of calves, also relevant to the control of coccidiosis.

AHDB Beef and Lamb (formerly Eblex)

AHDB Beef and Lamb is the organisation for beef and lamb levy payers in England, which exists to enhance the profitability and sustainability of the English beef and lamb sector.

TB Hub

The TB Hub website provides user-friendly information about tuberculosis in cattle.

Schmallenberg

Schmallenberg virus has been shown to be responsible for high barren rates and birth abnormalities.  More information can be found on the AHDB website.

APHA

Updates on current disease threats can be found on the Animal Plant and Health Agency website.
