COVID-19 Update

Article Status:
Archived

During this challenging period, the practice hopes to maintain a relatively normal service across all species, and rest assured that emergency cover will remain in place throughout.  As part of our social responsibilities we are adjusting how we deliver care to all our animal patients, without compromising the quality of our service.

Please follow current government guidelines and if you are self-isolating we will do our best to work with you to achieve the necessary assessment and treatment for all animals under our care.

Even if you are showing no symptoms, we are limiting the number of people entering the building: so please avoid coming into the building where possible.  Reception staff will be keeping an eye out for clients; if in doubt please telephone to announce your arrival.

Prescriptions etc will be brought out to you in the car park.
Vets and nurses will triage in the car park, and where appropriate will examine dogs in the car (not cats).
If necessary, your pet will be taken to a consult room by the vet to be examined, with the aid of a trained nurse.
We will also be offering telephone / video call consultations.  These will be charged as per normal consultations.  If – based on this consultation – a physical examination is deemed necessary there will be no additional charge.
Where necessary and practical, medicines will be posted / delivered.  A charge to cover P&P will apply.

Farm and Equine vets are responding to routine and emergency calls as usual.

TB testing continues as normal, however APHA are considering contingency planning should illness prevent starting or completing a test.

MEDICINES UPDATE:
We are sorry to advise that our lead times for filling your order may be will be longer than usual, as our stock deliveries have been changed from daily to every other working day (best case).   Depending when you place your order we anticipate that the turn around may now be 3-4 working days depending on the day of the week that you place your order with us.
Please bear with us whilst we work through this exceptional time together.

If our staff levels are reduced due to illness and self-isolation, emergency work must take priority.

Where possible we are aiming to provide as full a service as possible, in order to support you through the coming period.
