Our Callington branch will be open from 9am - 7pm for emergencies / vet approved procedures only and we are still operating our Out of Hours emergency service to continue to care for your pets when needed.
Ongoing consultation / appointment procedures
We have adapted our working practises in order to continue to protect both our staff and our clients.
Telephone consultations are being offered for non emergency conditions in the first instance and are also carrying out consultations at the practice where deemed appropriate.
Telephone consultations are charged at our standard consultation fee and payable by telephone at the time of the telephone consult request. If a physical examination is consequently deemed necessary there will be no further charge for this physical consultation and only medications / additional treatments prescribed at the consult will be charged.
If an examination is necessary your pet will be taken into the practice by the vet to be examined, with the aid of a trained nurse.
Findings and further diagnostic procedures or treatment requirements will be discussed with you as required.
We are now able to carry out puppy and kitten vaccinations and boosters on a case-by-case basis and our nurse will liaise with you to meet your pets innoculation requirements.
Repeat Medication and Food requests ( Drugs / Flea / Worm / Food etc)
Could we now ask you to give us 48 hours’ notice of your requirements. This will ensure that we can obtain your order from our wholesalers as necessary, who are also working under limited operating conditions themselves.
When collecting from Callington please call us from the carpark and your order will be brought out to you. We can also post out your order, for which there will be a post & packaging fee and this will be confirmed at the time of order payment.
These are now £25 per prescribed drug per medical condition and they will be valid for 3 months with the exception of Flea and Worming which will be valid for 6 months.
However, if more than one drug is required for one medical condition the charge will be £35. (Previously, the charge was £15 per drug, regardless of how many the condition required.)
