During his career, Dr Keesjan Cornelisse has worked on many challenging equine medical cases, involving patients from the family pony to the high performing equine athlete.

- Upper and lower airway endoscopy, guttural pouches, gastroscopy and cystoscopy
- Thoracic (lungs, pleura, heart), abdominal, and ophthalmic ultrasound
- Broncho-alveolar lavages and tracheal washes
- Indwelling chest drains (pleuritis, lymphosarcomas)
- Conversion of atrial fibrillation
- Lack of exercise tolerance, telemetric ECG, cardiac ultrasound, upper and lower airway endoscopy (static and over the ground)
- Myopathies and Atypical Myopathy (AM)
- Work up of chronic weight loss problems including oral glucose absorption tests, abdominocentesis, abdominal ultrasound, rectal mucosal biopsies
- Work up of acute, chronic and recurrent colic
- Renal failure, pyelonephritis, haematuria, bladder stones, cystoscopies
- Liver disease and failure, hepato-encephalopathy
- Liver and kidney biopsies
- CSF taps, myelograms and work ups of wobblers, epilepsia, narcolepsia, temperostylohyoid arthropathy (“otitis media”) and intracranial abscesses
- Intradermal skin testing, melanoma vaccinations
- Adult horse and foal intensive care (ICU; including fluid and electrolyte corrections, TPN)
- Endocrine problems (Cushing’s disease or PPID, Equine Metabolic Syndrome)
